The 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 has finally been revealed and it shows some similarities with the previous F3 675 series but with upgrades added to it. According to MV Agusta, the new F3 800 has identical curb weight but is now more powerful than before. It will be made available in colors such as Metallic Matte Black, Red/Silver, and Pearl White/Black. This model will be made available in the US as a 2014 model.
What makes the 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 better than its predecessors is its 798cc three-cylinder engine which has fuel injectors, titanium valves and a bore x stroke ratio of 79 x 54.3mm. This combination is designed to make the flow rate higher compared to before. MV Agusta claims that the displacement engine of the F3 800 is bigger by 20 horsepower which means that the engine is quite capable of producing 148 horsepower. The F3 800 is also equipped with a crankshaft that is counter-rotating to improve the bike’s responsiveness as well as reduce the rotational inertia for superior handling.
Since MV Agusta is well known for their top of the line electronic packages, you can expect to see that they have equipped their F3 800 with MVICS system including Ride-by-Wire throttle to help riders out. Among the electronic aids that can be found on MV Agusta’s new ride are shifter that is assisted electronically, multiple ride maps, and traction control up to eight levels.
The F3 800 features a chassis that is quite typical of most MV Agusta bikes but it has been combined with side plates made from cast aluminium, tubular steel and swingarm that is extended to give riders a better grip. There is no fixed price yet with the 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 since it may differ from one country to the next.
MV Agusta has changed the way middleweight Supersports bikes looks like with their F3 675 but with their F3 800, their design and upgrades has further pushed the boundaries of what a middleweight Supersports bike should look and feel like. Their recent model is focused on providing its riders with not just technological superiority but also excellent performance on the road.
The 2014 MV Agusta F3 800 is lighter compared to its predecessor making it more responsive and manageable for the rider. This new model of MV Agusta is highly anticipated by many bike riders as it looks promising with its design and electronic packages.
