Best of all, with just a couple of clicks you can enter to win an all-expenses paid trip for two to ride with Team Honda in a 2016 Cycle World Adventure Rally on the new Honda Africa Twin. Let the adventure begin!
Life’s too short to put anything off. And what are you going to remember ten years from now, another day at the office or an adventure on a great motorcycle? You know the answer to that. Now you only need to find the right bike—and that’s easier than ever with our growing selection of adventure machines.
You probably know someone like this. Maybe it’s your brother-in-law, or your neighbor, or some guy at your workplace. He’s always telling you what he’s going to do . . . but he never really does anything.
But there’s another kind of guy too—someone who turns every day into something that’s fun. Every weekend he comes back with a story to tell, even if he never crossed a state line.
Honda’s new VFR1200X is built for people who know adventure isn’t someplace you go, it’s what you do getting there. It’s an excellent machine for exploring the world around you, and doing it in comfort, confidence, and style. Sporty, athletic, nimble enough for around-town cruising or tight winding back roads, it’s also big enough to reel in those highway miles, and see the Statue of Liberty, Mount Rushmore, and the Alamo all in the same trip.
And the new VFR1200X is loaded with features too—the most important being its 1237cc V4 engine and choice of six-speed transmissions. Best of all, we’re offering a ton of accessories, so you can fine-tune it to how you want to ride.
Where will a new 2016 Honda VFR1200X take you? Wherever adventure calls.
It’s been a long wait. But—trust us—it’s worth it. The all-new Honda Africa Twin is the machine that will let you wander wherever your adventures take you. The 998cc parallel twin uses Honda’s exclusive four-valve Unicam® cylinder-head design for smooth, tractable power. Offered with either a six-speed manual gearbox or a new DCT transmission with selectable on- and off-road modes, both versions have ABS standard with rear ABS on/off and Honda Selectable Torque Control (HSTC). MSRP is set at $12,999 for the base model, and $13,699 for the DCT version.
What do you do with a bike as revolutionary as the class-leading Honda NC700X? How about make it even better, with a list of updates and improvements that put it even further out in front? The best parts haven’t changed: During the week the NC700X is an awesome commuter, while on the weekend it lets you go exploring in the country, or carve up a twisty canyon road. Its parallel-twin engine offers a generous helping of useable torque, and the seating position makes sense for a ride around the block or around your favorite continent.
So what’s new? How about a larger windscreen for better weather protection; new, tougher-looking bodywork; a new front-brake caliper; and a new pentagonal muffler for a sharper look and a sound you’re bound to love. The new luggage compartment holds even more, a full 22 liters, and comes with a new “utility rail” and a storage hook inside the lid. Available in two versions—the conventional six-speed, manual-clutch transmission remains one choice, while a second version is available with an updated version of Honda’s exclusive automatic Dual-Clutch Transmission (DCT). Even the tires are easier to service, thanks to new “L”-shaped valve stems.
Ever since its introduction, Honda’s CB500X has been a breakaway favorite with riders. That’s no surprise to anybody who’s ridden one: the CB500X is an adventure-style motorcycle that delivers comfort, versatility and a can-do attitude at a surprisingly affordable price. And to make a great choice even better, the 2016 CB500X features a bucketful of improvements this year.
You still get plenty of performance, and the capability to excel at everything from adventure rides to sport touring. The torquey 471cc parallel-twin DOHC engine delivers the broad-spectrum power that Honda twins are famous for, while the CB500X’s upright handlebar naturally accommodates a wide variety of riders. You can adjust the compact windscreen to varying heights (plus it’s 100mm taller this year), and the larger-capacity fuel tank is carefully shaped to give the rider an unrestricted riding position. New for 2016: A restyled LED headlight and taillight, a hinged fuel-tank filler cap, front suspension that’s now adjustable for spring preload, and a front-brake lever that’s adjustable too.
The CB500X is an excellent choice for riders ready to move up a displacement class, or for anyone who appreciates a great middleweight motorcycle. And the bike’s sharp, new styling this year makes a great choice even better!
