Bajaj Pulsar Crossed 50 Lakh Units Sales Mark Since its Launch

Bajaj sells 50 lakh Pulsar bikes since 2001 | Ten years since the Pulsar’s launch, Bajaj has announced that the motorcycle model has crossed the 50 lakh sales mark.

“The (Pulsar) brand has crossed the landmark 5 million sales mark, while celebrating a decade of existence. Pulsar is the only brand in the performance segment which has crossed the 5 million mark in India,” Bajaj Auto Ltd (BAL) said in a statement.

The company had first introduced the Pulsar motorcycles in November 2001 in two engine capacities – 180cc and 150cc. The model range now starts with a 135cc engine all the way up to a 220cc.

“Not many brands in the Indian automobile space have crossed the 5 million mark. This holds true even for mass motorcycles. The Pulsar range has received many accolades over the years,” BAL President (Motorcycle Business) K Srinivas said.

To add to its success, Bajaj recently recorded a 4 percent rise in sales of the entire line-up for the month of April with 342,324 units sold. The company will soon start bookings of their 200NS Pulsar that uses a KTM engine.
