Pedego August Newsletter – Sales Report & New Changes (continued)
- All Interceptors & City Commuters will now have the throttle override function. The throttle will operate when in the pedal assist mode allowing the rider to add power on demand, even though they are in pedal assist.
- We’re changing the 7-Speed grip-shifters to the Shimano 7-Speed thumb-shifters on all Interceptor & City Commuter models. Replacement shifters will now be shipped with a long left-side hand grip to accommodate the change.
- We’ve changed the seat and grips on the NEW 7-Speed Trail Trackers.
As always, a new year means new products & colors! We’ll be exhibiting at INTERBIKE this year so please stop by booth #5017 to see what we have in store for 2015. We plan to introduce 3 new electric bike models and 5 new color choices. To register as an Interbike attendee, please visit: www.interbike.com. If you would like information about our dealer appreciation dinner, please contact Ashley (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Jenny (email@example.com).
The rumors are true… Our 3rd Annual Pedego Dealer Meeting is taking place December 3 – 5. Please contact Ashley or Jenny if you did not receive our Save the Date email about the meeting.
Because of the continual success of each of our 3 present model lines, we will not be making any significant changes to our Comfort Cruisers, Interceptors or Trail Tracker product lines. Each of these designs have proven themselves to be big hits with consumers. We will be making continual refinements so stay tuned for more details over the next few months.
New Changes at Pedego
We’ve hired a new warehouse manager to oversee the smooth running of our downstairs operation. Please welcome Charles Jones to the Pedego family! He’ll be at the Pedego dealer meeting in December to introduce himself to all our dealers.
To prevent any miscommunication, we’re requesting that all orders be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org instead of calling in. This will ensure that purchase orders are processed on a first-come, first-served basis even after-hours and on weekends. To check inventory, please visit: http://www.pedegoelectricbikes.com/inventory/

Cathy Rogers was the first person to ride an electric bike across the United States and it was a Pedego Interceptor! Cathy biked from Redmond, WA to Washington, D.C., in just 48 days to benefit the American Lung Association of the Mountain Pacific. After a 7-week journey, Cathy crossed the finish line on August 2, 2014 with a huge Pedego smile plastered on her face. In Cathy’s case, her Pedego Step-Thru Interceptor brought her 3,300 miles of smiles!
The best news is that consumer awareness and acceptance of electric bicycles is growing at a feverish pace. Our sales tripled in July over last July and Pedego is becoming the best known brand of electric bicycles all over the world.
magazine just ranked Pedego Electric Bikes #1311 on its 33rd annual Inc. 500|5000
, an exclusive ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents the most comprehensive look at the most important segment of the economy—America’s independent entrepreneurs. Companies such as Yelp, Pandora, Timberland, Dell, Domino’s Pizza, LinkedIn, Zillow, and many other well-known names gained early exposure as members of the Inc. 500|5000.
“Pedego’s meteoric growth can be attributed to a keen focus on delighting our customers. We pursue full-scale excellence in the design of our electric bicycles, their outstanding quality and our amazing customer care,” says Don DiCostanzo, co-founder and CEO of Pedego Electric Bikes. “Even our competitors will admit that we provide the absolute best customer service experience on a consistent basis.”
Our growth would not be possible without the loyal support of our dealer base. Thank you to all who are on the Pedego Team and we look forward to working with each of you as the upward growth continues.
